Surah No. 26, Al Shura, Ayat No. 79 & 80
o وَالَّذِي هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِي وَيَسْقِينِ
o وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ
Who gives me food and drink. And when I am ill, it is He Who cures me.
Prophet Ibrahim (ahs) has given a message to his people that Allah is supreme Who provides food and drink and during illness it is Allah Who cures. It is a matter of fact that the food and the water are the two essential components for survival. Allah has very systematically taken care of this human necessity and is the sustainer of all His creature. In other words He is the protector of life on the earth by way of provoding food and drink to it.
In case of illness of any person the physicians put all their efforts to thoroughly investigate and prescribe the best possible medicines to cure the patient. The research in the field of medical science is at its peak and very effective medicines are regularly introduced in the markets. Secondly there is a tremendous improvement in surgical skills. Despite these efforts and recent developments the nature has its own say. The recovery of the patient is totally dependent on Allah's Will and when He decides, the patient shows signs of recovery and is finally cured. When He does not want to cure a patient same type of treatment do not produce any result.
