What is Islam ?
Islam is a religion of PEACE, love, coexistence, tolerance and modernity. The Message of Islam is “Allah is the only One, Who is the Creator of the world and He alone is worthy of Worship and that Mohammad (saws) is His Messenger".
About 1,400 years ago, the message of Islam was revealed to the Holy Prophet Mohammad (saws). It was revealed through angel Hazrat Jibraeel (Gabriel) which had been well preserved in the Holy Quran. Its main message is to worship Allah (God) and to treat all Allah's creation with kindness and compassion. Rights of parents, orphans, neighbours and the needy are all clearly defined. 1400 years ago, when the rest of the world was in total darkness, women’s rights were totally safeguarded by this religion.
In Islam, one is encouraged to lead a healthy active life with the qualities of kindness, chastity, honesty, mercy, courage, patience and politeness. In short, It had brought a perfect and complete system of life. The entire message of Islam is derived from the Holy Quran and indeed the Sunnah [practices of the Holy Prophet and his sayings (saws) ]. In actual fact it is most certainly an adaptable way of life regardless of human changes, which will be rewarded certainly in Hereafter. It teaches that the path to spiritual development is open to all. It believes that each person is born pure, and the Holy Quran tells that Allah (God) has given human beings a choice between good and evil.
Remember that each individual has to meet Allah, Who would take a final decision on his deeds. Therefore, any individual can seek nearness to Allah through worship and good deeds and establish a perfect relationship with the Almighty. Ultimate end is a reward in the form of PARADISE in the Hereafter.
Please note that at present Islam is the second largest religion, Over 1.6 billion followers worldwide and they form the majority in more than 50 countries of the world. Today Islam is the fastest growing faith in the world and its beautiful and meaningful message is reaching millions, in the far corners of the earth. It is therefore very very important that all the Muslims must come forward to present before the world the correct picture of our dynamic and beautiful religion by way of exhibiting the qualities like, we should be kind to our neighbors, keep smiling when we meet others, pray and do charity. We should form a habit to serve humanity. We should not show hostility toward others, even to the followers of other faiths. We should present before the world a model through our behavior, character, nature and presentation. We must show to the world that we are followers of such a Beautiful and Dynamic Religion. There is no compulsion in religion, is well known principle of Islam.

اسلام کیا ہے ؟
اسلام ، امن، محبّت ، ہم آہنگی، رواداری، اور جدیدیت کا مذہب ہے اسلام کا پیغام ہے " اللہ واحد ہے ،وہ دنیا کا خالق ہے اور وہی صرف
عبادت کے لائق ہے اور محمّد اللہ کے رسول ہیں "
قریب چودہ سو سال پہلے اسلام کا پیغام حضرت جبریل کے ذریے الله کے نبی محمّد (ص) پر نازل ہوا تھا یہ پیغام قرآن شریف میں محفوظ کر دیا گیا –اس پیغام خاص میں یہ ہے کہ الله کی عبادت اور اس کی مخلوق سے رحمدلی سے پیش آنا –اس پیغام میں والدین ، یتیموں، پڑوسیوں اور ضرورتمندوں کے حقوق کی خوب ترجمانی کی گیی ہے -چودہ سو سال پہلے جب پوری دنیا تاریکی میں ڈوبی ہوئی تھی اس وقت اسلام نے عورتوں کے حقوق کی حفاظت کی ہے
اسلام میں ہر شخص کو جذبہ پیدا ہوتا ہے کہ وہ رحمدلی ، پاکیزگی ، ایمانداری ، ہمّت، نرمی اور صبر کے ساتھ زندگی گزارے- اسلام انسانون کے لئے پوری نظام زندگی کا پیغام ہے – اس کو اپنانے کے بعد یقینن آخرت میں انعام ملتا ہے – ہر انسان پاک ہی پیدا ہوتا ہے اور قرآن کہتا ہے کہ الله نے انسان کو عقل دی ہے کہ وہ نیکی یا بدی کے راستے کو اختیار کرے
یاد رکھیں کہ ہر انسان کو ایک دن الله سے ملنا ہے جو اس انسان کے اعمال کو دیکھ کر فیصلہ کریگا – اسلئے انسان کو الله کا قرب حاصل کرنا ہو تو اچّھے اعمال اور عبادت کو اختیار کرے اس کا انجام آخرت میں جنّت ہے
آپ کو معلوم ہونا چاہیے کہ اسلام دنیا کا دوسرا بڑا مذہب ہے اور اس کو ماننے والے قریب ایک سو سا ٹھ کروڑ مسلمان ٩٧ ملکوں میں رہتے ہیں - اس لئے آج کے مسلمانوں کے لئے یہ ضروری ہے کہ وہ دنیا کو بتا دیں کہ ہم ایک زبردست مذہب کو مانتے ہیں جو عبادت کرنا، خیرات کرنا، پڑوسیوں کا خیال رکھنا اور لوگوں سے مسکراتے ہوئے ملنا سکھاتا ہے -یہ مذہب دوسرے مذاھب کی اور اس کے ماننے والوں کی بھی عزت کرنا سکھاتا ہے - اسلام کے ماننے والے ، اپنے برتاؤ اور کردار سے اپنے آپ کو اس طرح پیش کریں کہ لوگ سمجھیں کہ یہ ہے اسلام کا نمائندہ -یہ بھی سب کو معلوم ہونا چائیے کہ اس مذہب کا اصول ہے کہ اس میں زور زبردستی نہیں ہے

इस्लाम क्या है ?
इस्लाम अमन, मोहब्बत, इत्तेफाक, रवादारी, और जदिदियेत (आधुनिकता) का मज़हब है I इस्लाम का पैग़ाम है “ अल्लाह एक है, वह दुनिया का खालिक़ है और वही इबादत के लाएक़ है – और मोहम्मद अल्लाह के रसूल हैं “
क़रीब १४०० साल पहले इस्लाम् का पैग़ाम हज़रत जिब्रील (फ़रिश्ता) के ज़रिए अल्लाह के नबी मोहम्मद (सअव्स) पर नाज़िल हुआ था और यह पैग़ाम क़ुरान शरीफ़ में महफूज़ कर दिया गया था – इस पैग़ाम में यह है, कि सिर्फ अल्लाह कि इबादत करना और उसकी मख्लूक़ से रहेमदिली से पेश आना – इस पैग़ाम में वालदैन, यतीमों, पड़ोसियों और ज़रुरतमंदों के हुक़ूक़ को साफ़ तौर पर बयान किया गया है- चौदासौ साल पहले जब पूरी दुनिया तारीकी में डूबी हुई थी उस वक़्त इस्लाम ने औरतों के हुक़ूक़ की हिफाज़त की है – इस्लाम पर अमल करने के बाद, हर शख्स में जज़्बा पैदा होता है कि वह रहेम दीली, पाकीज़गी, ईमानदारी, हिम्मत, नरमी और सब्र के साथ ज़िन्दगी गुज़ारे – सारी इन्सानियेत के किये इस्लाम पूरी निज़ामे ज़िन्दगी का पैग़ाम है – इस्लाम पर अमल करके ज़िन्दगी गुज़ारने के बाद, इस बात पर यकीन हो जाता है कि आख़ेरत (मौत के बाद और हिसाब किताब के बाद आने वाली ज़िन्दगी) में बेहेतरीन ज़िन्दगी मिलेगी – हर इंसान गुनाहों से पाक पैदा होता है और अल्लाह उसको जवान होने पर अक्ल से भी नवाज़ता है, नेकी या बदी के रास्ते को अपनाने का इख्तियार इंसान को होता है – इंसान जो भी रास्ता चुने वह इख्तियार कर सकता है- याद रखना चाहिए कि हर इंसान को आख़ेरत में अल्लाह के सामने हाज़िर होना है I इसलिए इंसान को अल्लाह का कुर्ब हासिल करना हो तो अछे आमाल और इबादत को इख्तियार करे तो उसका अंजाम आखेरत में जन्नत है I
आप को यह मालूम होना चाहिए कि इस्लाम दुनिया का दूसरा बड़ा मज़हब है और इसको मानने वाले करीब एक सौ साठ करोड़ मुसलमान ९७ देशो में रहते हैं – आज के मुसलामानों के लिए यह ज़रूरी है कि वह दुनिया को बता दें कि हम एक मुतहर्रिक और ताक़तवर मज़हब को मानते हैं जो इबादत करना, खैरात करना, पड़ोसियों का ख्याल रखना और लोगों से मुस्कराते हुए मिलना सिखाता है –यह मज़हब दुसरे मजाहेब की और उनके माने वालों की भी इज्ज़त करना सिखाता है- इस्लाम के माने वाले अपने बर्ताव और किरदार से अपने आप को इस तरह पेश करें कि लोग समझें कि यह है इस्लाम का नुमाइंदा –यह भी लोगों को मालूम होना चाहिए कि इस मज़हब में ज़ोर ज़बरदस्ती नहीं है
