42. Take a path of Righteousness

Surah No. 2, Al Baqr, Ayat No. 177

Translation :

It is not righteousness that you turn your faces to the East and the West; but righteous is he who believe in Allah, the Last Day, the Angels, the Scripture and the Prophets; and who spend wealth in love of Allah, to the relatives, to the orphans, to the needy, to the wayfarer and to those who ask for help and to set slaves free; and who observe regular worship and pay zakat. And those who fulfill covenant when they make one, and be patient in adversity and time of stress. Such are the people who are sincere and God-fearing.

Hadis :

Narrated Abu Huraira (ra):

The Prophet (saws) said, "Seven people will be under shade of Allah on the day of Judgment when there will be no shade except His. They are :

(1) a just ruler;

(2) a young man who has been brought up in the worship of Allah, (i.e. worship Allah sincerely from his childhood),

(3) a man whose heart is attached to the mosque (who offers the five compulsory prayers in the mosque);

(4) two persons who love each other only for Allah's sake and they meet and part in Allah's cause only;

(5) a man who refuses the call of a charming woman for an illegal sexual intercourse with her and says: I am afraid of Allah;

(6) a person who practices charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given (i.e. nobody knows how much he has given in charity).

(7) a person who remembers Allah in when he is alone and his eyes get flooded with tears."

Surah No. 25, Al Furqaan, Ayat No. 63 to 65

Translation :

The true slaves of the Beneficent are those who walk on the earth modestly, and when the foolish person address them they answer: Peace;

And those spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing,

And those say: Our Lord! Avert from us the torment of hell; Verily ! the torment is ever permanant punishment ;

Surah No. 9 Taubah, Ayat No 112

Translation :

Those who repent to Allah over and over again, those who worship Him, those who praise and glorify Him, those who move for Allah’s cause, those who bow down and prostrate before Him, those who enjoin people all that is fair and forbid people all that is evil, and strictly observe the limits prescribed by Allah. Allah give good news to such Believers.

Surah No. 49, Al Hujurat, Ayat No. 13

Translation :

O mankind ! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. In fact, the most honourable of you with Allah is that (believer), who is the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).
