47. Riba (Interest or usury) is Forbidden

Surah No. 2, Al Baqr, Ayat No. 275

Translation :

Those who consume usury will stand on the day of Resurrection as if he is embraced by shaitan and driven him to madness. That is because they say: "Trade is like usury, but Allah has permitted trade and forbidden usury. Those who after receiving direction from their Lord, desist, shall be pardoned for the past; and its decision will remain with Allah (to judge); but those who repeat are companions of the Fire: they will remain there for ever.

Surah No. 2, Al Baqr, Ayat No. 278-279

Translation :

O you who believe! fear Allah and give up what remains from usury, if you are real believers.

If you don't do it, take notice of war from Allah and His Messenger: but if you repent, you shall have your capital sums ; You should not deal unfairly, then you shall not be dealt with unjustly.
