49. Must Greet each other (Salam Karna)

Surah No. 4, An Nisa, Ayat No. 86

Translation :

When you are greeted (Assalam O Alaikum) by someone, you greet in return in better words than that (Wa Alaikum Assalam Rahmatullahe wa Barakatohu), or atleast return it with same equal words (Wa Alaikum Assalam). Allah takes careful account of all things.

Surah No. 24, An Noor, Part of Ayat No. 61

Translation :

When you enter the houses, greet one another with a greeting from Allâh (say: As-Salâmu 'Alaikum -[ peace be upon you ]) blessed and good. Thus Allâh makes clear the revealation to you that you may understand.
