7. How to make Dua to Seeks Allah's help and for having children

Surah No. 10, Yunus, Ayat No. 12

وَإِذَا مَسَّ الْإِنْسَانَ الضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنْبِهِ أَوْ قَاعِدًا أَوْ قَائِمًا فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُ ضُرَّهُ

o مَرَّ كَأَنْ لَمْ يَدْعُنَا إِلَىٰ ضُرٍّ مَسَّهُ كَذَ‌ٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

Translation :

When trouble touches a man, he cries to Us (in all postures) lying down on his side, or sitting or standing. But when We solve his trouble, he passes his way as if he had never cried to Us for a trouble that touched him! Thus the deeds of transgressors looks fair in their eyes!

Surah No. 12, Yousuf, Part of Ayat No. 87

o وَلاَ تَيْأَسُواْ مِن رَّوْحِ اللّهِ إِنَّهُ لاَ يَيْأَسُ مِن رَّوْحِ اللّهِ إِلاَّ الْقَوْمُ الْكَافِرُونَ

Translation :

Never give up hope of Allah's Mercy. Certainly no one loses hope of Mercy, except the people who disbelieve."

Surah No. 4, An Nisa, Ayat No. 79

مَا أَصَابَكَ مِنْ حَسَنَةٍ فَمِنَ اللَّهِ وَمَا أَصَابَكَ مِنْ سَيِّئَةٍ فَمِنْ نَفْسِكَ

o وَأَرْسَلْنَاكَ لِلنَّاسِ رَسُولًا وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا

Translation :

(O Man) Whatever of Luxury and happiness reaches you is from Allah; but whatever sufferings come to you is from your own self. And We have sent you (O Prophet), as a Messenger to (instruct) mankind: And enough is Allah for a witness.

Surah No. 70, Al Ma`arij, Ayats No. 19 to 22

o إِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّجَزُوعًا o إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا

o إِلَّا الْمُصَلِّينَ o وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الْخَيْرُ مَنُوعًا

Translation :

In fact , man was created very impatient ; frustrated, when trouble touches him; And become miser when good touches him ; Except those who recite Salat (Namaz)

Surah No. 2, Al Baqr, Ayat No. 153

o يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ اسْتَعِينُواْ بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلاَةِ إِنَّ اللّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ

Translation :

O believers ! Seek help with patience and salat, and Allah is with those who keep patience.

Surah No. 103, Al Asr

o إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَلَفِي خُسْرٍ o وَالْعَصْرِ

By the time (through the Ages), In fact ! Man is in loss, Except those who have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and enjoin people in teaching of Truth, and promote Patience.

Surah No. 26, Al Shura, Ayat No. 79 & 80

o وَالَّذِي هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِي وَيَسْقِينِ

o وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ

Translation :

Who gives me food and drink. And when I am ill, it is He Who cures me.

Comments :

Prophet Ibrahim (ahs) has given a message to his people that Allah is supreme Who provides food and drink and during illness it is Allah Who cures them. It is a known fact that the food and water are the two essential components for survival. Allah has therefore very systematically taken care of this human necessity and is the sustainer of all His creature. In other words He is the protector of life on the earth by way of providing food and drink to it.

In case of illness of any person the physicians put their efforts to thoroughly investigate and prescribe the best possible medicines to cure the patient. The research in the field of medical science is generating good data to provide effective medicines, which are being regularly introduced in the markets. Secondly there is a tremendous improvement in surgical skills. Despite these recent developments and its usage, the nature has its own say. The recovery of the patient is totally dependent on Allah's Will and when He decides, the patient shows signs of recovery and is finally cured. When He does not want to cure a patient same type of treatment do not produce any result.

Surah No. 1, Al Fatiha, Ayat No. 4

o إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ

Translation :

We worship YOU - ALONE ; and seek help from YOU ALONE .

Surah No. 7, Al Aaraaf, Ayat No. 197

o وَالَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَكُمْ وَلا أَنفُسَهُمْ يَنْصُرُونَ

Translation :

Those whom you call besides Allah cannot approach you to help, nor can they help themselves.

Surah No. 40, Al Momin (Ghafir), Ayat No. 60

وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي

o سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ

Translation :

And your Lord said : make appeal to ME ; I will respond to your request. Infact, those who deny MY worship, will enter Hell with shame .

Surah No. 7, Al Aaraaf, Ayat No. 55

o ادْعُواْ رَبَّكُمْ تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفْيَةً

Translation :

Make dua to Allah only in humbly, kindly and silently.

Surah No. 7, Al Aaraaf, Ayat No.180

وَلِلّهِ الأَسْمَاء الْحُسْنَى فَادْعُوهُ بِهَا وَذَرُواْ الَّذِينَ يُلْحِدُونَ فِي أَسْمَآئِهِ سَيُجْزَوْنَ مَا

o كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ

Translation :

Allah has all the excellent names. Remember Him by those names, And leave the company of those who blaspheme His names. They will be punished of what they do.

Comments :

One should keep in mind that if any kind of favour is needed then the appeal should be made to Allah Rabbul Izzat only. Allah is the greatest, who can listen, can see and has power over all the things. In repect of dua or supplications there are some Ahadis (Plural of Hadis), which are as under : The prophet (saws) said :

1. " All the supplications (Dua) are worship " (Tirmizi, Abu Daud)

2. " Supplication is heart of worship " (Tirmizi)

3. Narrated by Hazrat Salman Farsi (ra) that the Prophet said "The death of a person cannot be averted, but it is Dua which can avert it" (Tirmizi)

4. The prophet (saws) said " Whenever a person makes an appeal to Allah for any kind of need, either the same need is fulfilled or any other kind of misery is averted which was to come on him " (Tirmizi)

5. Narrated by Hazrat Abu Huraira (ra) that the Prophet said " Allah does accept the request of His slave provided he should not become impatient "

(Means the slave should not say that he has made lot of requests but they are not being accepted and then he leaves making further dua).

6. Narrated by Hazrat Anas (ra) that the Prophet said " Everyone of you must ask for his needs from Allah only, even if he wants a replacement of his shoe lace" (Tirmizi)
