4. The Messengers of Allah sent to Every Nation in the World

Surah No. 10, Yunus, Ayat No. 47

oوَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَسُولٌ فَإِذَا جَاءَ رَسُولُهُمْ قُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْقِسْطِ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ

Translation :

And for every nation there is a messenger in every Era. And when their messenger comes (on the Day of Judgement) it will be judged between them fairly, and they will not be wronged.

Surah No. 4, An Nisa, Ayat No. 164

وَرُسُلاً قَدْ قَصَصْنَاهُمْ عَلَيْكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَرُسُلاً لَّمْ نَقْصُصْهُمْ عَلَيْكَ وَكَلَّمَ اللّهُ

o مُوسَى تَكْلِيمًا

Translation :

We have already told you the story of some of the Messengers; story of others We have not; and to Musa Allah spoke direct.

Surah No. 16, An Nahl, Ayat No. 36

وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَسُولًا أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاجْتَنِبُوا الطَّاغُوتَ فَمِنْهُمْ

مَنْ هَدَى اللَّهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الضَّلَالَةُ فَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ

o فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Translation :

And verily We have raised in every nation a messenger, (proclaiming): Serve Allah and shun false gods. Then some of them, whom Allah guided, and some of them whom error was justified. Do travel in the land and see the nature of the consequence for the deniers!

Surah No. 17, Al Isra (Bani Israil), Ayat No. 94

o وَمَا مَنَعَ النَّاسَ أَن يُؤْمِنُواْ إِذْ جَاءهُمُ الْهُدَى إِلاَّ أَن قَالُواْ أَبَعَثَ اللّهُ بَشَرًا رَّسُولاً

Translation :

And nothing prevented men from believing when the guidance came to them, except that they said: "Has Allah sent a man (like us) as (His) Messenger?"

Surah No. 35, Al Fatir, Ayat No. 24

o إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا وَإِن مِّنْ أُمَّةٍ إِلَّا خلَا فِيهَا نَذِيرٌ

Translation :

In fact, We have sent you with the truth, as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a warner: and there never was a nation but a warner had passed among them (in the past).

Surah No. 40, Al Momin (Ghafir), Part of Ayat No. 78

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلًا مِّن قَبْلِكَ مِنْهُم مَّن قَصَصْنَا عَلَيْكَ وَمِنْهُم مَّن لَّمْ نَقْصُصْ عَلَيْكَ

Translation :

We have already sent messengers before you : there are some whose story We have revealed to you, and there are some whose story We have not revealed to you.

The Names of the Prophets sent on this Earth

There are 25 prophets mentioned by name in the Qur'an, although there were many more in different times and places.The names of 25 Prophets are as under :
